#9 Visiting the Old School... And Topshop

Today my boyfriend experienced the delights of Slough for the first time. For any of you who've been, you'll agree with me when I say that it doesn't give off the nicest vibe when you visit. I have nothing against Slough! I shop there a lot and went to a convent school there, which is now St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School (the idea of a convent being in Slough was obviously too ironic). I took Ben to see the school to see if he would liken it to Hogwarts, like my friends and I always did. Though this was probably more due to wishful thinking than the actual reality.

After this little visit down Memory Lane, I took Ben to town so we (or rather, I) could have a mooch round the shops. First on the horizon was the Topshop Sale Store in the Observatory Centre, where I got some beautiful jewellery for a fraction of the original retail price!

These ear-rings were reduced to £1.50 from £6.50.

This working compass necklace was £1.50 from £14.00.

This apple shaped ring was £1.50 from £10.00.

This stretch ring was £1.50 from £7.50.

And these flower ear-rings were £1.50 from £10. So that's a potential £48 I could have spent in a normal Topshop but got for a beautiful £7.50. Including my student discount, I got them all for a mere £6.75! I was skipping out of the shop. I don't normally shop at Topshop, as the clothes are always a terrible fit for people who have bodies, but I do love their jewellery. Not enough to spend £48, mind. Unsurprisingly, at hearing I'd saved so much, my Dad was ecstatic for me...
